Written by Leonard Koren in 1994, this book is widely referred to as the book that introduced the Japanese term 'wabi-sabi' to the non-Japanese world. Enjoy Koren's study of wabi-sabi — the beauty of things imperfect, impermanent and incomplete.

Leonard Koren is a Northern California based author who founded WET Magazine in 1976, an abstract periodical dedicated to the concept of gourmet bathing. After spending several years living and working in Japan, Koren wrote various works on aesthetics, including Wabi-Sabi for Artists, Designers, Poets and Philosophers, which helped bring the Japanese concept of ‘Wabi-Sabi’ into western aesthetic theory.
