We are a small operation but do our best to ship orders by the next business day. Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. Please note that during busier periods our dispatch times may increase — if it comes to this, we appreciate your patience!

For those who prefer to collect their orders in person, we offer local pick up at our studio in Berkeley, CA. Orders are usually ready within 2-4 business days and can be collected Monday through Friday between the hours of 10am and 3pm. Once your order is ready, we'll be in touch with more information on where to find us. Please note, if our pick up hours are not suitable for your schedule, we recommend having your purchase shipped to the address of your choice. 

We have plans to open a walk up space in the near future, but in the meantime our collection can be viewed at our studio shop on select dates each month. Our studio is located in the industrial Gilman district of Berkeley, CA, in a medley of artist lofts, natural wineries, and just blocks from the Fourth Street shopping area. For more details and to arrange a visit, please email hello@shopsommer.com

We ship to a number of international destinations outside of the United States and will continue to add more as we grow. Before placing your order, kindly be aware that any potential duties, taxes, or fees that may be applicable in the destination country will be the customer's responsibility and are not reflected at checkout.

To request a return for refund or exchange, please send an email to hello@shopsommer.com. All returns must be requested, approved, and mailed back to us within 7 days of the delivery of your original purchase. After 7 days, all sales are final.

We package each order ourselves with shipping materials that have been carefully selected to be curbside recyclable, biodegradable, and/or reusable. For more fragile shipments, packaging may occasionally also include the item's original padding to ensure a safe arrival and to avoid waste, but we always add our finishing touches. 

If you wish to gift your purchase, we are happy to wrap your order and will include a handwritten note, free of charge. Just be sure to leave us instructions with your desired gift message in the “special instructions” section at checkout. 

For those who prefer the gift of choice, we have gift cards available for purchase here. Please note that the card will be delivered digitally to email address provided during checkout. 

We prioritize goods that are hand crafted and/or made in smaller quantities using traditional techniques and should be handled with care. Unless noted otherwise on the product page, we recommend hand washing with delicate soap or detergent and air drying when necessary.
