Imported from Denmark. Hailing from extensive professional backgrounds in fashion, friends Annika Zobel Agerled and Josefine Frank Arthur founded Akua (Japanese for water) in 2022. Together the collections are designed to create a tableau of physical memories that transcend temporary satisfaction and trends — resulting in pieces that exist somewhere between daily poetry and eternal history. Each collection is named in honor of the recollection of a person or event that has impacted the designer’s lives.
